Approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Key Laboratory of Particle Physics and Particle Irradiation (PPPI) was founded in December 2010 focusing on the national key disciplines of particle and nuclear physics at Shandong University. The laboratory not only aims to integrate microelectronics, solid state electronics, atomic and molecular physics, particle physics, and nuclear physics, but also serves as a training platform for cutting-edge research talents.
Being the major division of PPPI and among the first institutions moving from Jinan to Qingdao, the Research Center for Particle Science and Technology concentrates on innovative graduate programs and advanced research of science and technology.
