The Institute of Frontier and Interdisciplinary Science provides graduate education around three first-level disciplines - physics, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, as well as geophysics. It offers 60 core courses across the aforementioned disciplines and prides itself on an elite supervisory team made up of 35 doctoral supervisors and 48 graduate supervisors.
The Institute has so far awarded 120 degrees and certificates to 61 graduate students and 59 doctoral students, all of them were employed or continued their education after graduation. More than half of the graduates went to well-known universities in China and abroad to carry on their research and studies. Over 40 pursued industrial careers in prominent companies such as Sinopec, BYD, and Inspur Group. 10 plus were employed by government and public institutions.
