Research
The Medium- and High-Energy Nuclear Physics Group currently consists of 12 researchers (7 professors, 1 research fellow, 2 associate professors, and 2 postdoctoral scholars). Seven members of the group have been awarded national-level talent accolades. The team is actively engaged in major international collaborations, participating in large-scale experiments such as RHIC-STAR and JLab-Hall A/B in the US, NICA-MPD in Russia, and LHC-CMS at CERN in Europe. Several members hold prominent leadership roles within these collaborations, serving as the deputy spokesperson, executive committee members, and conveners of physics working groups. In recent years, the team has achieved significant breakthroughs in key research areas including nucleon spin structure, relativistic heavy-ion collisions, and the development of advanced particle detectors. They have undertaken a wide range of high-impact research projects, including Key International Joint Research Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Key R&D Program initiatives, and NSFC Major Research Program projects.
