Research

The theoretical particle physics team currently has 11 faculty members, including one national-level talent recognized as a Changjiang Scholar / National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and three recipients of the Youth Talent Programs. Their research covers the partonic structure of proton, the properties of strongly interacting matter and QCD phase transitions under extreme conditions, as well as topics such as dark matter and gravitational wave physics. The team is currently undertaking several major research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation's Innovative Research Group Project and the Major Basic Science Project of Shandong Province.
